Despite His Steroid Use, A-Rod's 600th Home Run is Still Significant

Anytime I can, I like to point out the fact that I am a proud Yankee hater, so the last thing I would do would be to support or defend one of their players. A few weeks ago, Alex Rodriguez hit his 600th carrer home run. I don't care what type of performance enhancers he took, I still think this is significant.
Here's my thing: first of all I like A-Rod. I have no problems with him. Yankee fans do. Without the services of Rodriguez, the Yankees would not have won the World Series last year. If they were to have made the playoffs, they definitely weren't getting out of the divisional series. I think I like A-Rod because most Yankee fans hate him. They don't know what they have.
I think his 600th is significant because if you know baseball, you can tell that he is talented without any help. Super talented. I can't say that about everyone in the 600 home run club (See Sammy Sosa). I know that isn't much to base this argument on but that's all I got. I'm sure thousands of baseball players have taken steroids, but only a handful were able to eclipse 600. That's impressive. With or without he help of steroids. I still think he'll be a first ballot Hall of Famer too. Time will heal all. He'll get in.
